Nate's LJ: Lack of interest? I think not!

It has, indeed, been a long time since I last posted on LJ.  It's not that I don't enjoy spilling my thoughts onto the keyboard; I just find that I really don't set aside time for it.  The only time I really have is when I'm at work, during the slow times (like tonight).  The reason for not posting in LJ any other time is because when I get home and hop onto the computer I almost automatically log into WoW.   I will most definitely have to put in more of an effort to post more often.

Speaking of WoW, my responsibilities in my alliance guild have increased quite a bit.  Me being second in command of the guild and him simply not logging on nearly as much as he used to (we're talking like once a week... maybe).  I love my guild and have no problems partially running it, but what stinks is it takes me away from leveling my horde character on  [personal profile] dragonoflife and [personal profile] tigerphoenix's server.  I would love nothing but to catch up with them and do some raiding, just gotta make more time I guess.

Believe me, we would love nothing more than to see you level up and do some raiding with us! ^.^

But you know, being his second in command, I can totally understand the responsibility angle and all. Question is, how do you feel about all of it? Because sometimes, being in charge drives me nuts. That's why I'm glad Sunday night is game night, and we can all hang out and not worry about WoW, even if we talk about it.

Being second-in-command definitely has the classic double-edged sword quality about it. On the plus side, I seem to garner a bit of respect and, for what I can tell, admiration from the others in the guild. We have a lot great members and I love to run and converse with them on an almost daily basis. On the negative side, the fact that for a while there, myself and another officer were the only "figureheads" in the guild, keeping morale up and keeping people in the guild was a bit of a headache. Luckily, our GM has decided to play quite a bit more and seems to be showing up on a daily basis. And, there are always the pain in the arse members, mostly just kids, but a few genuine dickheads in there as well, but they do seem to make their own way out of the guild. I will say that dragonoflife's comment on a similar hit home a bit. All in all though, glad to be where I am.

I too am thankful for our game night. Breaks up the monotony of the WoW week lol.
