So today started off kind of lousy; my alarm didn't wake me, so I had to scramble to get out on time, but that was all in vain since my bus did a no show. With impending lateness I continue my journey; second bus that takes me to the mall was late, this added with the most obnoxious children in the back coupled with a passenger who would stop bitching about the driver's lateness (as a rule I don't complain about it, it's a fairly long route and traffic or passengers wither certain needs[i.e. somebody in a wheelchair] will easily add several minutes to the travel time. All this would put me in a bad mood, but what kept a smile on my face the whole time was my encounter at Rockville station. As I was walking to my bus stop, this black guy was coming out of the terminal facing me. "How could ya do this?" He exclaims; not thinking he was talking with me I continue on my path. He repeats it, but this time I know he's speaking to me.

Random guy - "What are the chances man?"
Me - "What's that?"
RG - "I hit on this lady, and she turns out to be an attorney!"
Me - "Oh man, that's rough"
RG - "A good one at that!"
Me - "daaaaaaamn"
RG - "I'm gonna stay in trouble though *pause* know how?"
Me - "How's that?"
RG - "I'm gonna marry the bitch!"

We both start laughing and we both move on. It was so random, but it ended on such a positive note, like we bonded in the 30 seconds we spoke. Race, attire, ideals, none of these things were processed into the equation, just some guy sharing a quick story and us having a laugh about it.... brilliant.
