Thanksgiving Eve

Ahhh, The night before Thanksgiving.  The last night I have before the end of any semi-normal schedule (as normal as a schedule can get when you work retail).  I love thanksgiving, but not the days following it.  Long hours, asshole customers, flocks of people who have no clue what the hell they want.  Yet, I know, as it is with every year, there will be some genuine nice people who I will help and make their, and mine, holidays a little better.  Yeah, that's a bit sappy, but it's true.  Those are the customers I wait for, the ones that give me a reason to stay in retail.  Their thanks are real and it leaves you feeling accomplished, for about 5 seconds as you go to help the next person.
